Konsul Gnadenwalze – Aššur & Cyclades [Album Release]

Free mp3 Album and Mix download goes here!

Konsul Gnadenwalze is the alter ego of two gifted musicians. On stage they combine energetic live shows with minimalistic visuals. Aside of the performances they are creating their own elaborate Konsul Gnadenwalze universe. A lovely mixture of pseudo-scientific and poetic references. They create dub-wise broken beat abstractions, beautiful and brutal, organic and mechanized at the same time. Each successive listen reveals new depths, pulling you further into the world of Konsul Gnadenwalze. A wired carousel ride with the ancient question of whether we revolve around our environment, or our environment revolves around us.

There is a limited physical distribution available with a special handcrafted booklet. Exclusively at shows and with luck when contacting the artist directly.

共生立方 SC#006 VA Compilation Release

Free Download goes here!

We are very happy to release our second various artist compilation. Again we feature electronic artists from all around the world – Iran, Japan, Taiwan, USA, Mexico, Russia and Germany. This is a global network based on friendship and the will and interest to express certain thoughts and emotions in an digital way and share it with others. Especially in 2014 – when we see the world shaken by sudden wars and political unrest – we want to submit this compilation to peace and freedom, regardless boarders and nations.

We start the selection with Odepth aka Arash Akbari from Iran. Compositions from Odepth are very moody with well designed pads – thoughtful and deep accelerating you for this sound journey.

Second we go with Abduct. Initially from Mexico is living in Budapest right now. Check out the page for his latest AV installation and more albums. Abduct is sound design at it’s best – as you might know from other posts here on SC.

Andi Finger is a publisher and artist from SC. This track is co-produced with Mephisto. The track has a lot of space and actually sounds like a good mixture of inspirations from Burial and Moderat.

Leaving the Planet is the Band of mine (David Gann) with Tzeshi and DorianDroid singing in this track. Recorded live in a gig in Lisbon.

r.m.ʝ〜ʎ is an artist from Japan. Her tracks have a lot of drive and push – combined with a happy mood. definitely a good listening!

The next track by GLASKIN is the one track that you want to have in your DJ set! ‘Party’s over’ is a great track and we are happy to have it in the mix. It is also ending the first thematic part in the compilation.

Second thematic part in this compilation is changing to a more urban and industrialized mood. It is introduced by Reverse Bullets – or Klaas van Carlos (Perfect Entropy) – who is currently oscillating between New York and Berlin as an independent film maker and producer.

This is also how we get to know Rowan J. Thyme from Virginia Beach in the US. He has a pretty cool urban style with really interesting tension curves in all the tracks. Absolutely recommending it!

‘Fossil of Flame’ is a solo track from Tzeshi (already appeared in the Leaving the Planet track). This is live PD patching going on here!

And at last we have a beautiful track from our friends YBSTN from St. Petersburg – They released already an album on SC and are doing fine with their AV installations and performances from what we hear. Many greetings at this point!

The artwork is produced from raw VVVV renderings from Kyle McLean (

That’s it. Hope everyone enjoys it. Leave us some feedback and share it.

Bunai Carus – Indigo

Bunai Carus fell into a blue mood. From Utsah Park fires, to the oceanic Kern Arc, beats and melodies turn with Ultra Violet, and runs with paces. The indigo sun blow its strange colour storm to wipe the slate clean, like the exuvia leaves place to a new life cycle.

Bunai Carus from Montpellier in France came up with their sixed EP on Symbioticcube and we totally love the summer vibe. It is time to relax and indulge into colors and enjoy the flow of the living world around us. The tunes have been mastered especially to be fat and loud with standing basedrums on stage for you DJ’s and at the same time it is that kind of dense pad music that can stimulate your relaxed evening just in the right way.
Enjoy and share please.

Leaving the Planet – 2967 [Album Out Now]

“2967 – Planet Earth is nothing more then a lifeless, toxic and radioactive ice dessert, covered with the slowly but surely fading remains of a once shiny, prospering human civilisation. The dispersing atmosphere and debris of centuries of space travel have formed a giant belt around the lost world. This is the last habitat of a few thousand post-human individuals, living in massive orbital vaults. It is this year in which suddenly a crystalline object enters the solar system and begins with a controlled swing-by maneuver around the sun, with only one possible target: Earth. Young ZU9 is observing the breathtaking event with the growing awareness that the unknown traveller is trying to get in contact with her via mysterious hyper-dimensional waves. In her dreams she lives through beautiful and frightening visions from the past and she walks on alien-like worlds that can only be the birth place of the interstellar arriver…”

It is finally there The first official Leaving the Planet Album. All tracks but the last one are remastered recordings from live shows in between 2010 and 2013. Thanks to everyone who supported us in all these years. We came quite a long way. Also prepare for a lot of more albums and – maybe (?!) – even a Leaving the Planet film. Ah and before I forget… It is for free. So make sure to tell everyone!

Our studio work is slightly different from the live performances , where we try to immerse the viewer in an atmosphere of music, passed through our inner state of that moment. We do not limit ourself to the possibility of instantly happening change, and at the same time YBSTN strive to fill the connection of acoustic and visual space. Its like we have a fire extinguisher around for our imaginary sense of security.

The album is the completion of the next stage in the development of YBSTN, which was created by the frame needed to complete the work on our experiments. However, it is the beginning of a new research, too.

Its the combination of sound, light and visuals in our concerts that makes the multifaceted figure of YBSTN. The new album is framing the improved musical space of the polyhedron. It can hardly be described in a few general words. After all it is the cycle of our emotional experiences that can only be felt. It is the unconscious perception that goes beyond the verbal expression.

Жанр: Experemental/Downtempo

And make sure to watch YBSTN on Vimeo!

David Eats Rusty Nails – Triumph of Decay [Album Release]

David Eats Rusty Nails is a project of David Dzhincharadze from Krasnodar in Russia. The album ‘Triumpf of Decay’ is an extremely dense, glitched and melodic surrealist and existentialist manifestation that blasts even the limits of the IDM genre.

Symbioticcube did an interview with David Dzhincharadze:

SC: David, how are things in Krasnodar, Russia?

David: Krasnodar, a small town in the south of Russia.
Concerning the “intelligent dance music” – the city does grohotny.
Maybe I’m the only person been writing this kind of music in this city, at the appropriate level.
Fortunately in the central Russian cities fared better. St. Petersburg and Moscow are many worthy musicians been writing and playing “intelligent dance music” is: Itsu, Unlockedoor, FIZZARUM, Novel 23.

SC: How did you come up with the project name ‘David Eats Rusty Nails’?

David: Deep in my childhood I found rusty nails in the back yard and thought it was candy. I licked and sucked them. ha – ha. Well, it’s not the only reason. It is such a fundamental project name for the music that is presenting a multi-genre illumination. And currently the name is difficult to bind to a specific genre of electronic music, that’s what I wanted.

SC: ‘Triumph of Decay’ is extremely glitched but at the same time very
melodic. What techniques did you use to produce this unique mixture?
David: This album to me is an innovative material. To write such material took me about 25 liters vodka brand “Zelenaya Marka” antibiotics “Amoxiclav”, harried consciousness, James Joyce, Dostoevsky Fyodor and Vyacheslav Ivanov.

SC: Is it all studio or live?

David: All material was written live at home. In Steinberg Cubase and Ableton Live.

SC: How is your own story connected to the story that the album tells?

David: This album is the story of my yet unpublished novel ‘Intrauterine Marginalia’. I’m more a writer than a musician. For me, the story is primary and the main theme song, but then I start writing music. The name “Triumph of Decay” is a fundamental chapter of my novel. It reveals the main conflict of the novel. Reincarnation of the protagonist goes through the places of James Joyce (not the key, but typical). In all this delirium existential things happen that I described in the album by means of music born out of the pen. My objective reality has little to do with the album, if not to take into account a series of deaths of my relatives from cancer diseases.

The release is available for free on Bandcamp.

SC#001 Out Now! Label Release Party announced!

This is the first Label Release of the AV Label SC#001 showcases artists who are living on the edge with their productions. Besides being musicians the artists have additional extraordinary skills and what combines them is their special focus in audio-visual production or/and live performance. The range of genres and influences is wide and it happens often to us that we start from instrumental derivatives of Jazz, Cumbia, Classic or something like Stoner Rock and end up somewhere completely new.
